Both are in some kind of rough shape, and require cleaning in a type of way. The Cookie Monster one was stuck to the bottom of a surface that had many heavy things piled on top of it for at least 3 decades. Possibly for longer. So removing it caused the gnarly gash you see here haha, with most of its cover missing on one side.

The opposite side of said cover shows signs of wear and dirt, but otherwise identifiable at least!! The record inside also looks ok, but quite dusty.

The second record, is technically, still newish, but its plastic was already ripped some before I started wiping it off with a damp paper towel. Then, it ripped even more, sporting a new rectangular flap hahaha It doesn’t seem like the plastic was only split in a way that the record could still be removed, and then put back. It also doesn’t appear that the record has been taken out at all, but was perhaps planned to be? Who knows. I’m not going 30-40 years into the past to ask the shrink wrap for the full story🤣
