The reverse of the coin features a stunning image of Jason, a revered Greek hero, and Chiron, the wisest centaur of all. Jason wears the Golden Fleece which is gilded on the coin. The background depicts a Greek city, while a frame with a typical Greek pattern surrounds the design. On the left is the inscription "JASON AND CHIRON", the name of the coin. The obverse of the coin features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II positioned on a shield. In front of the shield is a ram's head, in the background a combination of fleece and weapons.
