This is an antique bronze ashtray featuring the British Royal Coat of Arms
Material: Solid Bronze
British Royal Coat of Arms is the raised feature on this leaf or shell shaped ashtray with two bronze legs on the bottom for stability.
The Royal Coat of Arms reads: DIEU ET MON DROIT, and features a lion and a unicorn.
DIEU ET MON DROIT translates to "God and my right." It was adopted as the royal motto of England by Henry V (1386-1422).
The logo impressed on back of the ashtray is a rhombus shape that has the letters H.B. in it.
The end of the leaf or shell shape has the words: "SEPTEMBER" 1907." impressed on it.
It measures approximately 5" L X 4" W
Condition: Very good, has some darkened areas from ash residue. It also has been cleaned at sometime in it's 116 years as there are traces of the cleaner used in the indentations. See photos.
