An Extremely Rare Collection Set
This 10 disk set + Booklet is a replica of the very rare French fantascope pornographic disks, dating back to 1830. Certainly published by Giroux, were probably destined to the brothels of the time.
The discs are made of rigid cardboard.
Measures circa 20 cm diameter.
Booklet in Italian and English.

INSTRUCTIONS
These discs have no cut slots, so they need a second larger disc (the black one) in order to see the animation. This set is also equipped with a temporary tool that we offer for free (consisting of a simple cork held by a wooden handle, to be condidered as a gift) which however allows you to be able to see the animation and use the discs correctly, for those who do not have a phenakistoscope.
Once the 2 discs have been inserted, position yourself in front of a mirror and turn them together by bringing your eye closer to the slots on the larger disc.
Obviously we do not guarantee the optimal result, as it is a very simple temporary tool, but at least it can give the idea. However, it is possible to buy cheap phenakistoscopes online.
Please note that the cork may be different from the one in the photo.
IMPORTANT ADVICE: be sure to carry out the operation exposing the disc to full sunlight or well lit by a lamp without however this being reflected in the mirror.
Do not drive the nail too far, but leave some "slack".
The black side of the larger disc should face the eye.
