Spectacular and bold painting on canvas by A. Ingram.

Showing great talent for the brilliant colour, exquisite detail, passionate

expression and many other traits that this artwork exhibits. This painting

gives the viewer a fascinating insight into the artist’s stunning power of

composition, and his ability to capture one moment containing so much

action, which is masterful. The Royal Scots Greys who have just seized

Napoleon's colours while knocking out a gun emplacement of the French

Grenadiers are about to be counter attacked by the French Imperial

Lancers from the left of the picture.

Furthermore, this painting, looks absolutely fabulous with the gilded

frame enhancing its stunning imagery. Yet, I have listed it with the Submit

I can only make assumptions regarding its age. It may have been painted

not long after the battle when the subject was popular, or at the time of

the first anniversary one hundred years later. It is clearly too old to have

been painted at the time of the recent second anniversary.

The subjects, alive with vibrant hues and intricate brushwork, evoke a

sense of action frozen in time. The artist's skilful use of colour and texture

breathes life into every item pictured inviting you to immerse yourself in

the intricate details and rich layers of the artwork.

Preserved in its original state, this painting not only serves as a captivating

decorative piece but also as a window into a very famous event in British

and European history.  A protective coat of artist's removable varnish has

been applied, to protect it for posterity.

Whether displayed as the centrepiece of a room or cherished within a

collection, this original oil painting holds the power to inspire, captivate,

and evoke a sense of awe for generations to come.
