ORIGINAL & VG+ Condition U.S. Army 11th Infantry Regt., Company I Circa 1909

?This is an ORIGINAL gilt Enlisted Man's Crossed Rifles (Infantry) Collar Brass as worn on dress uniforms in the early 1900's by members of Company I of the 11th Infantry Regiment on their campaign hats, etc.  I am advised by my friend and go-to expert Hayes Otoupalik that this insignia was worn from approximately 1907 to 1920.  This insignia has a pin back attachment.  The crossed rifles measure 2.25" long by 1.5" wide. There are no maker's marks or names on the back. The 11th Infantry Regiment has a long history dating back to 1798 and the buyer is directed to the extensive article on Wikipedia for a detailed unit history. Company I was stationed at Fort Mackenzie, Wyoming in the early-1900's when this badge would have been worn. The badge is in VERY GOOD condition.
