Developed through Brembo's experience in MotoGP and SBK, the “T-Drive” disc introduces a unique fixing between the rotor and carrier consisting of eight “T” shaped pins on the disc and eight recesses on the carrier, which eliminates the need for traditional fixing bobbins.

As a result of specific studies into process and machining tolerances, this unique configuration transfers braking torque more effectively, ensuring greater resistance to thermo-mechanical stress, especially in the particularly extreme conditions of racing.

The “T-Drive” permits both radial and axial float and reduces the overall weight of the disc, offering a significant advantage in terms of handling and raising the limit of thermal expansion before warping occurs.

The rotor weight has been optimised by both reducing width and redistributing the cross-drilled holes.

The carrier also contributes substantially to the end result: made from CNC machined light alloy, it has been specifically engineered for lightness and stiffness.

This all contributes to provide constant braking performance under all conditions.
