Robert Burns (1759 - 1796), also known familiarly as Rabbie Burns, the National Bard, Bard of Ayrshire and the Ploughman Poet and various other names was a Scottish poet and lyricist. 

He is widely regarded as the national poet of Scotland and is celebrated worldwide.  He is the best known of the poets who have written in the Scots language, although much of his writing is in English, accessible to an audience beyond Scotland. He also wrote in standard English, and in these writings his political or civil commentary is often at its bluntest.

They are dusty and show a lot of wear from sitting on the shelf. 

The spines of the books are fragile and brittle (see photos).   I will pack as carefully as possible but it is possible the spines may crack more during shipping.  I will follow any shipping/handling requests within reason.

Remember that these books are 114 years old!

My usual policy is not to clean antiques.  I will leave any cleaning to the new owner.
