TIM I YEAR 1909

Antique Tim I calculator, manufactured in 1909 by Ludwig Spitz & Co. in Berlin-Tempelholf, Germany.

The design of this calculator is due to Robert Rein. The Tim brand is an acronym for Time Is Money, as can be seen on the upper left side of the machine and refers to the ease and speed with which complex calculations could be made with this calculator. This mechanical calculator bases its operation on Thomas Colmar's system, but improved by Robert Rein, its designer.

Constructed of brass and iron, it has a 6-digit keyboard for entering operations and 10 digits for the result. On the left side we can read the operations it performs: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. And in the upper left corner the Tim brand logo with the inscription Time is Money and the manufacturer. It is in good condition and works perfectly.

Collection piece.
