Baroque around the clock!

SO Dolce e Gabbana, Fall 2016, this beauty has been painstakingly hand-embroidered!

Imagine the hours spent making this beautiful bag, which looks great simply hung on the wall of your boudoir!

The bag is large, measuring 12” x 8”, with a maximum depth of 6” when stuffed full!

It has a great inner purse large enough for sunglasses or a chequebook, plus a small mirror pocket in the lining, which is a finely ridged, shiny peachy colour, possibly made from rayon. The purse is cleverly hinged to swivel out of the way for easy access to the main body of the bag-ingenious!

I believe this well-made bag to be Art Deco, from the 1920s. The hardware is brass, and inside the frame is neatly edged with black leather.

I am selling in found condition, which is good, with some signs of use to the lining.
