SALVADOR DALI TRIBUTE MACHINE

 

First of all we want to present this curious typewriter.

It is a handmade customization made by a Catalan artist in approximately 1960.

On a typewriter this artist has let his imagination fly and make his personal tribute to Salvador Dalí.

The machine is presided over by an image of Dalí and his wife Gala in the center of the clipboard, in an oval structure and flanked by metal flowers. The entire structure of the machine is decorated with a series of metallic flowers. The ribbon reels are decorated with floral scenes. The lever to reverse the carriage is crowned by the egg, so characteristic of Dalí.

In short, it is decorated with numerous objects to decorate the machine. To some it will seem wonderful, to others it will horrify, but what we cannot doubt is the creative enthusiasm of the Catalan artist who personalized this machine, who wanted to pay tribute to Salvador Dalí and his wife Gala.

The machine is in good aesthetic condition and works correctly. There is a little rust on some of the flowers that decorate the frame (see detail photos). A great machine to complete a beautiful and curious collection!!!
