WATCH VOSTOK AMFIBIAN USSR "Vostok" (translated as "East") produces military and diver mechanical/automatic watches in Chistopol, Tatarstan, Russia.

The name of the watches was chosen in honor to the amphibian - a creature that feels comfortable both in water and on land. By order of the Navy of the USSR, the "Vostok" plant began to produce the military modification of the "Amphibian" watch, that was successfully tested during the naval exercises in the North Sea. In 1975 the watch was even used when flying into space.
