Low Pass Filter Circuit Board - HF Version 2
Knowledge of low pass filter circuits is required to use this item.
Board is 1.6mm thick and will accept SMA end launch connectors (included) and up to 20ga wire where cores are to be installed.
The SMA connectors can be used while testing/adjusting. Remove these if installing into an enclosure.
These fit nicely inside a 1590A aluminum enclosure (stomp box) and will likely perform better due to the shielding.
(again, will need to remove the SMA connectors if you installed them)
Dimensions are 2.75" (70mm) x 1.25" (32mm)
Included toroids are T50 type 2 from Micrometals.
I have found that 22ga enameled solid wire works great for experimenting with this size setup.
Lead spacing for the caps is 5.9mm and diameter of holes is .86mm.
This is a shunt first, 7th order design with spots for 2 capacitors in parallel at each point, but only one required.
A great board for experimenting with different inductances and capacitances to achieve the curve you're looking for.
A Mill-Max 0415 (not 415) will work perfectly in the electrical connection (hardwired) openings.
(use 20-23ga wire if using the Mill-Max 0415, otherwise16 to 22 gauge works great)
