Alexa control and selectable lighting

Things have certainly changed in the world of car audio. Back in the day, auto-reverse on a cassette receiver was the hot feature that everybody looked for. Today, JVC's KD-TD91BTS CD receiver shows off the car stereo evolution with features like Amazon Alexa voice control, Bluetooth®, customizable lighting, and an option for SiriusXM satellite radio. In addition to access to all kinds of music options, JVC also provides deep tone controls to optimize the sound from each source.

Alexa voice control

After you load the Alexa app onto your phone and pair your phone to this JVC receiver, simply press the dedicated "Alexa" button on the faceplate, and you can access music, audiobooks, news, weather, traffic, and smart home controls using your voice.

Hands-free calling and wireless music streaming

Into streaming audio? JVC's Streaming DJ feature lets you pair five phones so everybody can pick their tunes for the ultimate road trip party. For the times when you're sharing the ride, the KD-TD91BTS enables you to pair two phones and quickly switch between them for hands-free calling. You can also control this stereo directly from your iPhone® or Android™ phone by downloading JVC's free Remote app.

Lots of radio

You can connect a SiriusXM tuner (not included) for seriously strong satellite radio programming that won't fade away when you head down the highway. You can plug your iPhone into the front-panel USB port, and control your music while you charge your phone — you can also switch over to your favorite Pandora stations for hours of variety. Don't worry Android users, you can control your Pandora stations using Bluetooth. And, of course, you can also tune in your favorite local AM and FM stations.

Even more music

The KD-TD91BTS also includes a CD player and front aux input for a portable music player. You can plug your iPhone into the front-panel USB port, and control your stored music while you charge your phone. Android users, you can play your stored music using Bluetooth. The USB port can also handle music stored on a thumb drive, including high-resolution FLAC music files.

Customize the look and sound

Once you're jamming, you can tweak your sound using the onboard 13-band graphic equalizer and built-in digital time alignment. JVC's K2 technology spruces up the sound of overly compressed digital music (like MP3 files and Bluetooth audio) with some clever processing. Since many car speakers are located down low in the doors, the KD-TD91BTS offers Sound Lift, which adjusts your music's frequencies to virtually "raise" your speakers for better, more natural imaging. If you're adding an amplifier or a powered subwoofer, two sets of preamp outputs provide you the clean signal you need for added output.

To accentuate this receiver's 2-line white display in your dash, you can adjust its variable illumination color controls in two different zones around the display. You get more than 30,000 colors to choose from. And the Music Sync feature even lets the lights dance to the music.

Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver's Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone's Bluetooth capabilities. Learn more in our  article explaining Bluetooth profiles.

iPod/smartphone note: If you're going to use your iPod or smartphone with this receiver, be sure to check "Details" for compatibility information.
