This is a vintage Smiling Pig bank carved from bured walnut.  This piggy bank is a heavy piece of art. It weighs in at 9 lbs.  The height is 7 1/2" and the width is 10 1/2".  The base is 7 1/2" with the door being 5 3/4".  The door is not that secure with the hinge and lock designed and the wood is carved a bit wonky.  The interior has been chiseled with a very rough surface.  There is a very fine crack, or scratch or even a burl edge at the bridge of the nose.  Please see the photos.  I think this is in amazingly great condition and the wood finish and color are very beautiful.
