An incredibly rare duo of items from the 1950-1960's American Actress Pin -Up & Sex Symbol Jayne Mansfield.
Typed letter reads : Dear Peter: Upon your request, this letter will constitute your authority to start a fan club for me to be known as : INTERNATIONAL JAYNE MANSFIELD FAN CLUB. This letter will also give you authority to have the club registered with the fan magazines. Sincerely, Jayne Mansfield. The letter is signed boldly and contains a small inclusion doodle drawing in the shape of a hart. The most spectacular specimen signature from this artist that we have come across so far in the hobby. The original one-of-a-kind (1/1) signed letter granting authority to start her international Fan Club. By 1960, Mansfield had topped press polls for more words in print than anyone else in the world, had made more personal appearances than a political candidate, and was regarded as the world's most-photographed Hollywood celebrity.

Jayne Mansfield (born Vera Jayne Palmer; (1933 – 1967) was an American actress, singer, nightclub entertainer and Playboy PlaymateA Sex Symbol of the 1950s and early 1960s, Mansfield was known for her publicity stunts and well-publicized personal life. Although her film career was short-lived, she had several box-office successes, and won a Theater World Award and Golden Globe Award. On June 29, 1967, she died in an automobile crash in New Orleans at the age of 34.
