Part of a large collection of Victorian sheet music covers which recently came into stock. Please view my other listings and consider saving shipping costs by buying more than one. Please note that the sheets are listed in many different categories, not necessarily under “music”.

Probably dating to the 1860s, the cover of this piece of Victorian sheet music for “The Express Quadrille” (*), a piece of music by Charles Coote, depicts a paddle steamer in full steam departing England for “an excursion to Paris and back”.  It has a full colour chromolithograph design. This 24.5cm by 34.5cm sheet has been trimmed and is just the cover, as the music is absent. It is a superb copy only the slightest signs of wear. My first photo shows the whole sheet, while the following pic(s) shows more detail. Please note that the coloured lines are for security only and do NOT appear on the actual sheet!  (*NB: Those interested in Victorian paddle steamers should search my other listings for three other relevant music sheets, two showing different views of the Great Eastern and another connected to her cable-laying activities.)

Shipping:  Please take a look at the shipping options offered.  If you want something not stated, such as second class or surface mail please ask for a quote. I am always happy to combine items to reduce the shipping costs for you, but please note that when combining high value items I may ask you to insure the package. The maximum possible level of insurance on items sent overseas with Royal Mail is £250.  If the total value of contents exceeds this figure then you will have to accept the risk of sending the item(s), or choose an alternative courier.
