Apple iPod Nano 3rd Generation 4GB MP3 Player Model PA978LL Used Condition Issue

Used condition with some general wear & tear to the finish of the iPod, there are some bumps & scratches but the screen is working fully. Upon powering on the unit works as intended but the longer it's on the less responsive the navigation wheel becomes - the back / menu functions begin to fail & you have to power it off. Please see photos.

Includes power / charging cable - the battery does hold a charge but is not new.
