RARE Vintage American Museum of Natural History Postcards Masks 1930s? 1st Ed NM

Funky Christmas / Everyday Funky

These books etc. come from my father-in-law's estate. We have an entire weaving and yarn shop inventory to sell that was filled to the brim.

This booklet was found in a locked glass bookcase in my father-in-law's yarn shop.  This booklet is in NEAR MINT condition.  The spine is broken.  There is no dust jacket.  Actual front and back boards have some damage.  Front cover has a bend in the upper right corner.  Back cover is cleaner but has some bends.  No marks or highlighting in tex.  Cards are bright white, crisp, clean and unmarked.  Cover lies flat.  All black and white photographs.  Illustrated, collectible, 1st edition.

PLEASE NOTEFor absolutely no reason, eBay keeps making multiple listings change the formatting which makes pictures un-viewable.  We are asking, please, if you see that, shoot us a note that tells us, so we can 1) send them to you via message and 2) go back in an fix it AGAIN.  There are many complaints about this from sellers.  Apparently, ebay does not care to fix the problem.  Please, be kind, and let us know if there is a problem.

These VERY RARE and individually sold post cards are in NEAR MINT and are NEW and in UNUSED condition.  All we see wrong is some of the back view of the cards show a very small bend in the upper left corner.  Please see pictures because we have old eyes.

Please note: this postcard section of eBay says divided backs on postcards went until 1915 which would make these over a hundred years old.  However, the pictures scream 1930's to me.  We have searched everywhere, for months, trying to figure out when these were produced, and even searching the American Museum of Natural History's website, I cannot find a comparable.  We feel more comfortable saying 1930s than 1910s.

If you are a collector, and wish to make a reasonable offer on the whole booklet (we do not know how many are missing (2 or more???), please email us so we can negotiate and/or work out shipping.  If you are a collector, please email us about your options for paying less for shipping.  If you just want one because these are cool masks, we can also reduce shipping by sending via 1st class mail between two thin, bendable pieces of cardboard (USPS requirement is it must be bendable). We make it as stiff as we can, but they can, and do, bend our packages.  There is no tracking with 1st class, and buyer assumes all liability for it's arrival.  We try to remember to take a picture at the post office and send it to you showing your package was actually put into the USPS.   Please contact us first so we can answer your needs.

Also - if you are buying more than one, please buy one via media mail and all the rest as a separate order for local pickup.  We will automatically consolidate.  That will save you money and still come in under the weight for the next lb.

NOTE:  Not standard sized - 3 3/8's by 5 1/2 inches!

Please NOTE: Old books are heavy books.  Safe shipping may move them into the next postal category.  Sorry!

Please NOTE:  We live in Michigan and it is winter.  We have the Lake Effect almost every day – massive cloud cover.  We are doing the best we can with interior lighting for the pictures.

Also, please NOTE:  Almost every book has a smudge somewhere.  We mention it if we see it, but please assume we missed something.

PLEASE NOTE: Because eBay is composed of soulless, bloodsucking monsters, and because it is forcing us to use an ISBN number for a book that DOES NOT have an ISBN number, and even when it DOES have an ISBN, still won’t let us use it, so we use one of a random book. Our book is pre-ISBN numbers. The Library of Congress number is 7283911. The LOC does not hyphenate when you put the number in to verify. Fake ISBN number is 9781014236289.  Correct ISBN number is 3822885606.  We put in whichever one the system will take. Sorry!

Note: We are running out of estate books and will be slowly changing over to their other possessions – some serious, some MCM, some just funky, or kitschy.  Others are Depression era.  Some will be brand new items, still in their packaging, and others will be more mainstream books (from one of the Grandma’s) or some of our personal books or collectables, as we are not leaving this mess to our kids.  We hope you fun and stay with us.

Shipping – All books are shipped on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday on the first day possible after payment is received around 8 to 9 AM. They are shipped by Media Mail in heavy brown paper, similar to a grocery paper bag.  All wrapping and shipping materials are recycled from the cardboard to bubble wrap to 50 year old envelopes. Our packages are ugly, but are very carefully wrapped to arrive safely.  We always refund shipping credit if you buy multiple items.  Free local pick up.  We refund your shipping charges!
