For the lamp I used a very rare device, measuring pressure in wheels. From a Soviet military all-terrain vehicle from the 1970s, GAZ - 66

How do I do my work
Here I embark on a careful search for the right floorboard for my next art project. I attach particular importance to high quality and regional origin.
Further processing in Grandpa's workshop
Once I have found the perfect piece of wood, I prepare it for the actual work . The bark has to be removed, the wood planed and finally shaped into the right shape.
The creative part
As soon as the raw wood is in front of me, the creative and most beautiful part of my work begins - shaping it. Most of the time I already have an idea of the pattern and let the natural texture of the wood guide me. Knotholes, cracks and bumps guide me and thus make each piece unique.
The post-processing
If I am satisfied with my work and have sanded the surface down to the finest detail, I oil it with a special linseed oil. The open pores are saturated and the wood can develop its natural color.
