DISNEY FANTASIA CENTAURETTES AND SATYR / FAUN PENCIL DRAWINGS BY FRANK FOLLMER,1938. ONE OF SEVERAL DRAWINGS FOR HIS CONCEPT MODEL SHEET OF CENTAUR SKETCHES THAT WAS LATER ADAPTED INTO THE FINAL MODEL SHEET HE DID THAT WAS USED BY THE DISNEY ANIMATORS FOR THE "CYDALISE" (FANTASIA) CONCERT FEATURE, PASTORAL SYMPHONY SEGMENT OF THE 1940 FANTASIA FILM (SEE LAST PHOTO).
THIS CONCEPT MODEL SHEET HAD SEVERAL MORE DRAWINGS IN THE CENTER AND LOWER LEFT, BUT THEY WERE CUT OUT AND REMOVED BEFORE I BOUGHT IT (SEE THE FIFTH PHOTO). SINCE IT WAS ALREADY PRETTY CUT UP, I DIVIDED THE REMAINING 2/3 OF THE SHEET INTO FOUR FAIRLY EQUAL GROUPS OF DRAWINGS (SEE SIXTH PHOTO), AND MATTED THEM SEPARATELY TO BE SOLD.
SINCE HE SIGNED THE SHEET ONLY IN THE LOWER RIGHT CORNER, ONLY THIS GROUPING HAS THE SIGNATURE.

NOTE: IF YOU WISH TO DO SO, THE CENTAUR COUPLE AT THE TOP OF THE DRAWING COULD BE EASILY TRIMMED OUT AND FRAMED SEPARATELY

THE DRAWINGS OF THIS LISTING ARE SOME OF THE SEVERAL DRAWINGS HE DID FOR THAT CONCEPT MODEL SHEET AND APPEARED IN ITS LOWER RIGHT CORNER.  A PHOTOCOPY OF THE FULL, SIGNED CONCEPT (SEE FIFTH AND SIXTH PHOTOS) IS INCLUDED TO VERIFY THAT THE FULL SHEET WAS SIGNED AS YOU SEE IT ON THIS LISTING.  A PHOTOCOPY OF THE FINAL PRINTED MODEL SHEET HE DID, ACTUALLY USED BY HIM AND THE OTHER DISNEY ANIMATORS FOR THE CYDALISE (FANTASIA) FEATURE, IS ALSO INCLUDED (SEE THE LAST PHOTO).
