Historical Cufflinks

Historical Luxury cufflinks military remembrance WWII, Second World War, Eire Defence Force buttons

World War II (1939-45) Commemorative Cufflinks

These are a beautiful pair of cufflinks made with genuine Irish (Eire) Defence Force buttons as worn around the time of the Second World War, nearly 80 years ago.  The Irish Defence Force was formed in 1924 and although Ireland remained neutral during the Second World War it was placed in a state of emergency and the army mobilised.  The cufflinks are made with a swivel back with an attractive diamond pattern on the swivel.  They are made using smaller tunic buttons, perfect in size for cufflinks and are 18 mm in diameter.

They represent a unique part of Irish history and the buttons have been carefully cleaned to retain some of their original character, whilst highlighting the beautiful details of these original buttons.

This is a truly unique gift and a chance to own a small piece of history lovingly restored and made into a beautiful pair of cufflinks.  They are presented in a luxury leatherette and velvet box and cardboard sleeve to make them the perfect present (a wooden box is available on request; please message me).
