J. & J. Music Boxes was founded in 1996 by Jim and Judy Miller in Pepperell, Massachusetts. It began as a way for Judy to stay home with their two young children. The idea for a music box wrapped as a gift came from Jim's very talented mother, Ann Taylor. She lived in sunny South Florida, where, after a decidedly SNOWY winter in 1998; Jim, Judy and the kids decided to join her and her husband Al. They all worked together until Ann's death in 2004. Jim and Judy carry on the business today, doing craft shows throughout the southern (sunny) states, concentrating on Florida for the most part.
