SALTER Nº6 YEAR 1900

Rare Salter Nº6 typewriter, manufactured in 1900 by George Salter & Co. in West Bromwich, Great Britain.

Very few Salters were manufactured, reaching only 19,000 units, divided among the five existing models. The Salter is a typewriter that you should have in a good collection. This Salter Nº6 is in very good condition and works correctly. Includes the base and the lid that serves as a carrying case.

It has a fantastic design, the front is made up of two columns and a curved metal piece that hides the type bars. This design gives the machine a strong architectural character. With this model, the Salter company began to make straight keyboards, instead of curved ones. Made of cast iron and enamelled in glossy black. Decorated with green and gold lines and the Salter brand symbol on the sides. The front of the machine is decorated with gold letters: Salter Standard. It has a nice chrome space bar.

The Salter Nº6 is a rare machine, very difficult to find and even more so in the good state of conservation in which this example is preserved.

Collectible typewriter.
