Japan Kakunodate Denshiro

Obi tube tea caddy (large) purple heart

Description

New, unused, made in Japan
This is Fujiki Denshiro Shoten's original tea caddy with cherry bark that looks like a obi.
By shortening the outer barrel of a regular tea caddy body, the cherry bark of the inner barrel is exposed, which plays a role in enhancing the color of the wood of the outer barrel.
Although it is a novel design for Kabazaiku, it is a product unique to Kabazaiku that demonstrates the characteristics of the material and technique. The outer cylinder utilizes the color and pattern of the tree material as is. Additionally, since it is finished with beeswax, you can feel the texture of the material itself. All the inner cylinders are covered with cherry bark, and when you open the outer lid, you can enjoy the contrast with the outer cylinder. In addition, the inner lid is deeper than usual, and the knob is omitted, so the inner lid can be used in place of a tea bowl when putting tea leaves into the teapot.
