Beard comb Collegial extra fine
with a long handle
 made of real light horn

Germany

Comb as precisely as if they were made of plastic. But they are made from South American cow horn. Their style and design correspond to earlier Irish horn masterpieces from France.

These extraordinarily filigree horn combs are manufactured with a level of precision that is probably unique for horn combs.
The light cattle horn is almost transparent at only about 3 millimeters thick and is unusually elastic for horn.
The cow horn for the Collegial combs is carefully dried in air-conditioned chambers, the so-called humidors, for about 3 years before it is processed into combs. This drying technique, which is unique in the world and incredibly complex, ensures that these very fine combs do not bend later (or at least hardly noticeably).

Dimensions of the Collegial "Moustache":
Total length: 129.5mm
Height 20.0mm
Thickness: (at spine) 3.0mm
Prong Spacing: 0.5mm
(Unlike Allen other combs: here there is no Deviations from the specified dimensions (the accuracy is in the 10th of a millimeter range).
