High-quality beard comb with beard brush (hard bristles)
made from real water buffalo horn

- the combs are delivered in light or dark horn -

HANS KNIEBES made in Germany

The combs are elaborately made by hand from carefully selected horns of the water buffalo (bubalus bubalis). The horns of buffaloes that are six to seven years old are primarily used because they are of sufficient size, stable structure and attractive grain. The ever-changing and different drawing of the horn makes each individual item unique.

In order to make the buffalo horn stretchable and malleable and to be able to bend it into flat plates, it is carefully heated. The buffalo horns are then cut to shape using complex, traditional craft techniques. The cut-out spaces between the wide teeth of the comb do not end straight, but rather run diagonally into the bridge. This manufacturing technique is called carving. The comb glides better through the hair and the risk of damaging hair is significantly lower. Finally, the combs are carefully polished in three steps. In the third and final step, the surface of the combs is polished to a shine with a fine polishing red and beeswax.

Dimensions: approx. 115 x approx. 42mm

Length of the bristles approx. 11mm

"Real Horn" is a natural product: the color and grain vary with each individual horn and each individual item made from it by hand. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that we will deliver this item as shown. The dimension given above is for reference. The dimensions can be in a range of approx. deviate by 5 mm. The ridges are not always completely straight; sometimes they are slightly curved due to the natural properties of the horn.
