A rare pair of vintage French brass nautical gimbal candle holders 

The weighted gimbals swing / swivel to hold the candle straight

This keeps the candle upright in a moving vessel or being carried

They are in excellent, undamaged, unpolished vintage condition

Their darkened vintage patina will polish up beautifully if desired 

They have round base plates with fancy carry handles on the side

The side handles are also adjustable and can be moved around

You loosen the stem, move the handle, and then tighten it again

So the carry handles can be fixed into any position you want

The base plates are impressed with maker's name "Coniflex"
