Press the yellow button on the side of the tester. If all wires are intact, all indicator lights will be on. If any of the indicator lamps do not light up, this indicates a fault in the respective cable. Towing vehicle test: Connect the tester to the trailer plug. Press the yellow button on the side of the tester. If all wires are intact, all indicator lights will be on. If any of the indicator lamps do not light up, this indicates a fault in the respective cable. Test each terminal individually: Turn the vehicle ignition ON and turn on the left turn signal. The corresponding indicator lamp should start flashing at the same frequency, otherwise there is a break in the left turn signal wire. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to check the operation of the right turn signal and the tail lamps, fog lamps and brake lamps.
