From Arc Reclamation.

A reclaimed vintage reproduction, cast iron tiled fire insert made by Agnews. The fire insert is a reproduction of Victorian designs. The tiled insert is very decorative and has a lovely domed smoke hood with leaf designs and reeding. The fire insert has a raised border and it has shaped front bars, and a decorative ash pan cover. The fire insert has 3 larger tiles and 4 half tiles on each side. The larger tiles have a pretty flower design on a pale background and the half tiles are green and green with spot detailing. The fire insert comes with a cast iron fire stool and a clay fire back. The iron has been blacked and polished giving the fire insert a nice finish.

The fire insert is in good reclaimed condition with some signs of wear and use. The tiles have some crazing to the glaze and some tiles have some knocks, chips and smoke marks. One of the green half tiles has a break. The iron has some small scratches, knocks, casting marks and small patches of surface rust. The back of the fire has surface rust, as expected. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire has an ornate period style design and is ideal for adding character to a fireplace.

We can organise delivery to most UK locations or collection is welcome by appointment. Please message us in advance of purchase to get a delivery quote.

If you wish to arrange your own courier for collection, we would bubble wrap the item free of charge.  There are a few points we would like to make you aware of in terms of risk.

1)  There is a small amount of risk with transporting any item.

2)  This risk can be minimised by either collecting in person or using a trusted person or company to move the item for you.

3)  We have been using the same trusted family firm of couriers for many years now and are happy with their services, additionally you are covered for loss or damage.

4)  If you decide to appoint your own courier, the contract for delivery is between yourselves and them so if an item is damaged or lost you would go to them for compensation.  We would not be liable for loss or damage in transit.

5)  For cast iron items, no amount of bubble wrap will protect them from smashing if they were allowed to fall over.  Therefore careful handling by the courier is paramount.  I would urge you not to book a parcel carrier, although cheaper.  I would choose a door to door courier who does not use depots to transfer items.

   6)  If your delivery address is under 25 miles from us at GU32 3PB we can quote you for delivery in our own van.  Please contact us for a quote.

Please see our other listings for unusual items. Thanks.
