The listing is for a Victorian water pitcher which was manufactured by the Derby Silver Company in Quadruple Plate which dates the manufacture prior to 1913 when all manufactures of silver plate discontinued the quad plating process. The pitcher features both the shiny traditional silver plate and the "acid etcher" or "Butler" finish, used to replicate years of polishing. The pitcher is heavy and quality made. The high relief design of flower, leaves and swirls made the pitcher a standout item.
Condition: The water pitcher is in good condition as shown in the pictures. The dark patina in the acid etched areas off set the shine of the silver plate. There are no monograms, dents or visible repairs.
Size: The large capacity water pitcher stands 9 inches tall and 8 inches wide with a liquid capacity of 64 ounces.
