As a salute to those men of vision who sailed to the far horizons of the earth and beyond, Bing & Grondahl launched their Explorer Series in 1978 with the "Santa Maria" mug honoring Christopher Columbus.  Emblazoned in 24-Karat Gold is a magnificent silhouette of "The Santa Maria," one of three ships sailed by Columbus as he discovered the new world, in 1492.

Dimensions: Mug measures 5" high.

Marks/Dates: 1978.  Stamped on the bottom.  First Edition.  Numbered.

Condition: Mint in original box with paperwork.  No cracks, chips or other damage.
