This is the 1991 USA brochure for the following Motorsport (M) cars:

• E30 M3 Coupe
• E34 M5 Sedan

 

The E30 model was the first 3 Series to have an M car.  Therefore it was only made in limited production.  It was available in the US only as a Coupe. 

It was distinguished from the other E30 by its visual appearance, the high-performance 4-valve per cylinder engine, and superb, balanced handling.  

 

This brochure covers the M3 in detail:

• the M3 shown in a darker color & dark interior
• detail pictures of the rear spoiler, front fender, and cast-alloy wheel
• also shown as a Motorsport model on the racetrack
• discussion on engine, suspension, steering, and more

 

The E34 M5 was (one of the) first BMW with over 300 hp.  With four doors and high performance suspension, it was an outstanding car. 

 

The M5 is shown:

The difference in the 1990 and 1991 sales brochures was that the 1990 edition showed the M5 with the four-seat configuration (individual seats in the back), the 1991 edition showed the 5-seat configuration (bench in the rear).  

This particular brochure is the 1991 edition with the bench rear seats shown.
