This Zorki-4K needs a little help. Shutter seems to work on higher speeds but at 1/60 and slower the second curtain hangs open. The viewfinder is clean and clear and the rangefinder patch is nicely contrasty and visible, but there's a problem with the feeler that couples the lens to the rangefinder mechanism. The feeler moves in both directions, but it should push itself out towards the lens with a spring, and it does not -- instead, once it's been pushed in, it stays in.

Lens looks clean and clear, just the usual dust.

A fixer-upper for fans of "Made in USSR."

About Camera Sanctuary:

Like you, I love cameras. I bring all manner of equipment into the Camera Sanctuary in the hope that I can place it in a new home. I handle everything from collector’s pieces to total beaters, Leica to Lomo, Alpa to Argus. You can buy from me secure in the following:

- My descriptions are honest. Some cameras have been babied, and some have been brutalized. There’s room in the world for both, but I won't try to sell one as the other.

- I won’t pretend I don’t know things.

- I’ll take back anything that doesn’t meet your expectations.
