Two interesting antique Japanese chawan / individual tea bowls / cups
Believed to be Inuyami ware pottery from the Meiji era 1868-1912
Hand painted decoration (red flowers, blue/green leaves, longevity symbol, Greek key)
Pinched shape to hold cup snugly between thumb and forefinger
Unglazed foot with raised indecipherable mark
Each of the two individual-sized tea bowls / cups measure 2 1/4" tall x 3 1/4" across top
Primitive ceramics with extensive pitting and crazing, small chip on rim of one, color variation across pair (one has lighter interior)
