Patricia Louise Holte (b. 1944), known
professionally as Patti LaBelle, is an American R&B singer, songwriter,
actress and businesswoman. LaBelle is referred to as the "Godmother of
Soul". In a career that has spanned seven decades, she has sold more than
50 million records worldwide. LaBelle has been inducted into the Grammy Hall of
