Real photo postcard showing a good quality sideways-on view of the Ellerman Line Ship: City of Exeter. There are some hand written details & a newspaper clip regarding damage to the central mast on the back. It was also used as an HMT during & at the end of the 1st world war. It is not postally used & is c.1919 in date. The central horizontal black line of SPL - 2500 is a watermark & not on the original item.
