Notes about the part number

The chip on the board has RF96 etched on it but the module number is RFM95W. The reason for this is that the RF96 chip is the same for all the different frequency bands, but the supporting components on the module tune it to the particular band, and hence the module part number is different.

Rest assured that this module operates in the 915MHz band. The exact frequency can be specified in the code, and in Australia, that can be anywhere between 915-928 MHz.
