1^st US Models S-class Brochure

Final year of the 600 and first & only year for the 350SL

It all probably began in 1972 – the S-class was considered the top-of the-line Mercedes that deserves its own brochure. 

 

The brochure covers the following cars:

·         280 SE

·         280 SE 4.5

·         300 SEL 4.5

·         350 SL (only year before name change to 450SL)

·         600 (last year shown in US brochures)

 

All models are discussed and shown with a large double-page picture of each car. 

 

1972 was the only year for the 350SL to be imported to the US.  The next year it was renamed the 450SL.

 

The 600 was in its final year to be discussed in a US brochure.  1972 marked the last year for the 600 in the U.S. (to my knowledge)

 

 

Dimensions:         Approx. 11” x 8”, 30 pages incl. covers

Condition:          Some wear at the edges of the covers, small tear on the front.  Inside pages are in pretty good shape.
