Just when we thought everything was going fine with our JAWA Californian, the factory sprung a surprise on us and introduced the Californian II, and in mid-season, too! Naturally, we're pleased as punch with this new model and can understand why JAWA did not want to hold this model back until 1968. It's just too good to keep a secret that long. JAWA certainly had the American motorcyclist in mind when they built this model, for in addition to its sparkling performance, it's finished with ample chrome plating and polished alloy and painted in red and black. And if you're not interested in the 250cc single-cylinder model, for a little more you can buy the 350cc twin. (Both models are of simple but highly efficient two-stroke design).
