Kastormed Honey Gauze Dressing is a kind of non-adhering & breathable mesh tulle dressing. Honey comes from the Leptospermum scoparium plant in New Zealand.which can effectively help wound faster healing, while preventing infections.

The manuka honey gauze dressing helps remove harmful tissue from the wound bed and maintains an ideal moist wound healing environment. It does not stick to the wound, can be applied and removed painlessly.

How does manuka honey work?

As wound fluid enters the dressing, the honey is released while the dressing absorbs it and forms a gel to create an optimal wound healing environment. Leptospermum Honey has been shown to have several active properties which assist in promoting an optimal healing environment while having a low pH to help lower the overall wound pH beneficial to chronic wounds.

EASY TO USE

Peel foil edges to allow aseptic removal.

Tips:

Clean the wound and its surroundings before applying the dressing

Peel off both pieces of the transparent protective film, then remove the honey gauze.

Place or pack dressing on into wound. (the shape of the product can be cut if necessary)

Use secondary dressing to keep in place.

Tips & Advice

  1. Do not use if the inner packaging is damaged.
  2. If signs of clinical infection occur, consult a health care professional.
  3. Please make sure the gauze dressing pad 4" x 4" is bigger than the wound size.
  4. Fix the gauze dressing pad with a self-adhesive bandage and tube-like bandage or any other adhesive dressings.
  5. Suggest using it in combination with our “silicone foam dressing” for better wound protection.
