Disney's Mickey Mouse Bisque Porcelain Music Box. Mickey Mouse standing by mailbox with a letter in his hand rotates to the song "Mickey Mouse March".
This item has been sitting in a porcelain maker's warehouse, which eventually went out of business some years ago.
- Condition: It comes in its original box in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Music box works great.
- Material: Made of Porcelain except for the paper envelope and arfiticial grass.
- Size: 4" Tall (10 cm)
- Paper tag still attached saying "Made in China" with the name of Japanese retailer "Sekiguchi". Their mark is also embedded in the side of the base. This item was designed in Japan and its production was outsourced to China.

My store provides Japanese Seto-yaki porcelain figurines. 'Seto-yaki', such as this Mickey figurine, is a general term for porcelain products made in Seto Japan.
Seto is a city located in the center of Japan, and is also the center for Japan's ceramics industry.
From Occupied Japan Era to the late '70s, Seto-yaki items under various brand names used to be exported worldwide. However, as the ceramics industry has been declining year by year, many manufacturers have been forced to shut down their factories in the last few decades. Now there are still lots of vintage products and reproductions available from local stores out there. Please sometimes stop by my eBay store to come upon a rare find.
