The reed switch is a passive electronic component widely used in various communication devices. It is a circuit switching device that uses magnetic field signals to control, also known as a magnetron. The outer shell is usually a sealed glass tube, which contains two iron elastic spring plates. The glass tube is also filled with an inert gas called rhodium metal. In normal times, the two springs in a glass tube are separated. When a magnetic substance approaches the glass tube, under the action of magnetic field lines, the two springs inside the tube are magnetized and attracted to each other, making the circuit connected to the two pins connected. After the external magnetic force disappears, the two springs separate due to their own elasticity, and the circuit is also disconnected. In practical use, permanent magnets are usually used to control the connection of these two metal plates, so they are also called "magnetrons".

Attention
1. Extreme care must be taken when cutting or bending the lead pins of a reed to avoid applying inappropriate stress and damaging the glass metal seal. Appropriate clamping tools are necessary.
2. Encountering temperature and prolonged exposure may cause damage to the glass metal seal (cracking, leakage, etc.), therefore fast and reliable welding techniques (processes) must be adopted. The recommended welding conditions are: 280-300 ℃ for manual welding and 250-300 ℃ for wave welding.
