*NOTE TO EBAY - THESE BOXES ARE EMPTY AND DO NOT CONTAIN ANY RESTRICTED AMMUNITION COMPONENTS*

Up for your consideration is a set of two empty reproduction CALIBER .30 1930 SPECIAL MATCH AMMUNITION 20 round cartons with a FRANKFORD ARSENAL label.

The .30-06 cartridge, first developed in 1906, was the official U.S. rifle and light machine gun cartridge in both World Wars and Korea, with combat use finally ending in the 1960s. From WWI until WWII, National Match ammunition was selected by competitive firing of Frankford Arsenal service lots as well as commercial lots submitted under contract, with most submitted lots containing from 1-2 million rounds. The lots selected were sent to the location of the matches, the rest went into service stores. The 1930 "SPECIAL MATCH AMMUNITION" was unique in that it was a replacement lot(s) for the original rounds that had defective primers.

Each "Buy It Now" single purchase is for 2 unassembled cartons with dividers and labels. The Frankford Arsenal label has the unique Ordnance Dept. red stripe, which identified the contents as ball ammunition, and a 1930 Special Match Ammunition  label and lot number matching the original. The cartons, dividers, and labels will be shipped flat, with assembly instructions. I had a lot of these made, so if you want multiple sets, just change the auction quantity before you click the "Buy It Now" button.
