This is a new 4" aluminum hardbar shift knob for any C5 corvette with a 9/16"-18 shift rod and 6-speed manual transmission. This is a direct fit/replacement for the boring stock shift knob. It's made from lightweight and durable 6061 billet aluminum material and has a 9/16"-18 tapped hole in it. It's CNC machined and hand sanded to a brushed aluminum satin finish that really looks sharp in the interior. This is similar to the popular 3" version we've been selling. This is simply the longer version that people have been asking for.
This particular design has a diameter of just under 1.5" and is 4" long. You'll notice that the bottom diameter is large enough to keep the shift boot tucked down and away from your hand. There is a generous counterbore at the bottom of the shift knob which allows the installed height to be reduced as much as possible. The top is fully rounded for a nice place for your thumb to rest. The lowered shift knob height, shape, and finish all contribute to a secure and comfortable feeling in your hand as your making your way through those gears.
