100% authentic antique, 1-4th Century Green Ash-Glazed Stoneware Vase Jar.


The jar was from Nothern Vietnam at the time of being ruled and influenced by Eastern Han Dynasty of China (25-220 AD).    It was made with high-temperature-fired beige clay and a thin transparent glaze.


Width about 10 cm.   Heigh 8 cm.    This is 100% antique, NOT reproduction.


Minor chips at rim and glaze flaking, as shown.


The item was discovered from burial sites in northern Vietnam.  Vietnam at that time was under Chinese rule for about a thousand years until the founding of the first Viet dynasty - Ngô dynasty.    Ash-glazed pottery like this piece was produced under the influence of the Han and can be found in similarity in China.    Reference items can be commonly found at National Musuem in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
