For your consideration is a fine pierced sterling silver Yarn Dispenser, made by Gorham, circa 1897. A great 19th Century Sewing Accessory. Neat Pierced decorations on this Piece, along with nice Repousse Tulips on the Lid. The Yarn Holder Lid closes snugly on the Base, and is in very good age appropriate condition - the only small issues being a tiny lid ding, a couple tiny base dings, and a little bending on the rim of the base that is covered with the Lid on (see photo’s 9, 19, 11). This Piece is not monogrammed. Marked: Gorham’s early Mark, and “STERLING 40 THEODORE B. STARR NEW YORK”, along with a date mark for 1897. Weight: 78.2 Grams. Diameter: 3 Inches. Height: 3 Inches. Thank you for looking and good luck!
