Union Pacific Locomotive
One of the all-time greatest American engineering accomplishments was the completion of the transcontinental railway. Starting out from a railhead in Council Bluffs, Nebraska, Union Pacific track gangs laid down mile after mile of track, heading westward to meet Central Pacific crews blasting their way through the Rockies!

When the two railways met West of Ogden, Utah, history was made. With the driving of the final spike, America was symbolically united! Incredibly, the time needed to go from East to West went from four to six months to a modest 10 days! The rapid Westward expansion was ready to go!

Menards® salutes that "Can-Do" spirit with a classic F unit freight hauler in the railroad’s iconic Armour Yellow livery. The railroad owned 89 of the distinctive units with crew cabs and 90 cabless booster units.

The line’s contemporary waving flag loco seems to have a life itself when it is rolling down the track and would look terrific on a freight or passenger outfit!

An operator’s dream

Two powerful can motors propel the locomotive down the track with great ease. The stamped metal frame and metal trucks with die-cast frames add extra weight for stability.

The F unit comes equipped with crew figures easily spotted in the illuminated cab. Safety is assured along the line with a bright LED headlight, backup light, and classification lighting. The model also has working front and rear couplers.

Cast-in detailing includes portholes, rivet and seam detail, and exhaust and radiator fans. The Union Pacific livery is flawlessly recreated and has been the primary colors of Union Pacific power for 90 years!

The F unit comes with an easy-to-use handheld wireless controller. It's easy for youngsters or adults to hold and use.
