Descripción: The Elegance range is a collection of stunning ballet performances, both classic and modern, from internationally recognised houses with the popular dancers of our time. These include productions of today's great choreographers and of course the legacy of the legendary Marius Petipa. Hans van Manen, born on July 11, 1932, is one of the best known Dutch ballet dancers and choreographers. In 1960 he founded the Nederlands Dans Theatre and was his artistic director from 1961 to 1970. From 1974 to 1987 he worked for the Dutch National Ballet. He was awarded the German Dance Prize in 1993, won the Erasmus Prize in 2000 and the music prize of the city of Duisburg in 2004. His work includes more than 90 choreographies. Many years ago, critics Hans van Manen reviewed that he always replenishes himself. His work would give them the feeling of a déjà vu, the impression they had seen everything before. The choreographer at that time already in a retirement age, reacted to his critics very biting and proved them that he is still a fixed size. In just two years, between June 1995 and June 1997, he created six masterpieces that were later produced by the Dutch television and are included on this DVD.
