Nice decorative turned antique beaded newel post. The newel post looks like it was sanded down and re-stained in medium finish. Has a nice worn look. The wood is unknown. Has a very nice tapered beaded top final. It is a salvaged piece so expect to find nails, nail holes, and small chunks missing. scuffs and scratches. There is a small chip where the top rail mounts and an old vertical split as shown. The post is solid and notched on the bottom. Overall, in good condition.
